I don't know which building this is in Glasgow but it's in a street with a row of similarly massive structures that suggest banks or other financial institutions than need to radiate reassurance to their customers through architecture.
Ian and I were the only passengers booked for afternoon tea, so we were installed in a first-class compartment. The carriage was a Mk 2 with a very 1970s interior, but the exterior painted in an incorrect dark red with gold stripes livery. An odd combination. The experience was fun but not quite what we were expecting.
